Wrapping up the collection

The links on this page will be updated by the end of August.
Ask collectors for feedback
Remember to ask collectors for feedback. You can send the collectors a feedback survey afterwards, or print a poster from the material bank for the collection point with a direct link to the collector survey.
Enter collectors' personal details into the collector register by 30 November
By 30 November, submit to your district office the contact details of all collectors who have consented to being included in the collector register. This way, we can build up a large reserve of people whom we can quickly call on for help when needed. You can submit the personal data forms either as they are, or compile them into an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet template is attached below. Contact details can also be submitted directly via the online form using this link. Remember also to encourage collectors to create a profile in Oma.
Deposit the money into the Disaster Relief Fund by the end of October using a security bag
The Hunger Day collection proceeds are to be paid into the Disaster Relief Fund account by the end of October. Not all banks accept cash deposits any more, so check in advance whether security bags can be taken to the bank if you are unsure.
When you take the money to the bank or to an S Group outlet in a security bag, remember to place inside each security bag a bank transfer form showing the Disaster Relief Fund's account number at that particular bank. Add your branch's Hunger Day reference number to the form, as well as the security bag number. Remember to keep the security bag receipt for yourself.
Attached are bank transfer forms for different banks, with the Disaster Relief Fund's account number for that bank already filled in.
Osuuspankki generally accepts security bags
Via this link, you can search for OP branches and check whether they offer cash services and at what times. 100% service cannot be guaranteed, so it is worth checking in advance.
When you take the money to OP in a security bag, make sure you have placed inside the security bag a bank transfer form showing the Disaster Relief Fund's OP account number, your branch's Hunger Day reference number, and the security bag number. Remember to keep the security bag receipt for yourself.
S-Pankki accepts Hunger Day deposits until 31 October
Security bags can be delivered to S-Pankki customer service points during their opening hours, until 31 October. In addition, collection proceeds packed in a security bag can be delivered to a local S-market, from where they will be forwarded to S-Pankki to be counted. However, this requires the branch to agree on the matter separately in advance with the store manager.
When you take the money to an S Group outlet in a security bag, make sure you have placed inside the security bag a bank transfer form showing the Disaster Relief Fund's S-Pankki account number, your branch's Hunger Day reference, and the security bag number. Remember to keep the security bag receipt for yourself. More detailed instructions are attached (in Finnish).
The outlet employee's task is to write the name of the outlet/SPR (e.g. Prisma Halikko/SPR) in the sender field on the security bag, and REILA OY in the recipient field.
For the time being, S-Pankki does not have the capacity to offer this service year-round.
Deducting eligible sales expenses
Sales proceeds must be kept separate from collection proceeds. If the branch incurs costs from sales, these may be deducted from the sales proceeds. If the sales make a loss, the branch covers the costs from its own funds.
Sales costs must be recorded in the branch's accounts. There are three options for remitting the sales proceeds:
a) Pay the sales costs from the cash float and remit the proceeds directly to the Disaster Relief Fund. Remember to include the receipts for the sales costs in your branch's accounts.
b) Remit an amount equal to the sales costs to the branch's account and pay the sales costs from the branch's account.
c) Remit the entire sales cash to the branch's account. Pay the costs and remit the difference to the Disaster Relief Fund.
Submit the final report by 30 November
The collection's final report is completed via an electronic survey form. The survey itemises the collection and sales proceeds, as well as the donations received through different collection methods, and records the number of participating collectors and the proceeds from school and company collections. The survey should be completed by 30 November. This gives us important information about what the collection result is actually made up of and how many people have taken part in carrying out the collection.
Responding to the Hunger Day branch survey
Please also respond to the electronic Hunger Day branch survey by 30 November. Through it, we receive valuable information for developing next year's Hunger Day.

The 2026 results tracking list will be updated on this page approximately once a week after the collection. In addition, there is a list of the remittances received via S-Bank, which also shows the security bag numbers, in case you want to know the proceeds per security bag. Unfortunately, this information is not available through the other banks.
On the list, you will find the Hunger Day proceeds remitted by your branch on your own district's subpage. In Excel, you can use a filter to display only the remittances concerning your own branch. MobilePay remittances and Zettle remittances appear on their own subpages. If you have questions about your branch's Hunger Day results, you can contact your own district or send a message to Mia, mia.ekstrom@punainenristi.fi
