The FRC trains people who use substances in basic first aid skills, aiming to reduce accidents and deaths caused by overdoses, as well as providing them with the skills to administer first aid in their local communities.

Do you have knowledge of the lives of people who use substances and/or first aid skills? Are you a flexible and clear instructor with good communication skills?

First aid training sessions are approximately one hour long and are held 1–2 times at the same location. The training includes methods for preventing overdoses and basic first aid skills. Training sessions are held at, for example, health counselling points, hostels, and similar places where people who use substances spend time. Training sessions can also be held at, for example, child welfare institutions.
Ready-made materials are available for delivering the training.

As instructors, we are looking for individuals who have knowledge of the lives of people who use substances and/or first aid skills – or at least knowledge and familiarity with the topics and an interest in learning more about them. In addition, flexibility and good communication skills are required.
