National network of organisations for reception operations and integration support

The Finnish Red Cross coordinates the national network of organisations for reception operations and integration support. The network began its activities in 2015. The purpose of the network is to highlight and strengthen the role and significance of organisations and volunteers in reception operations and integration support alongside the work of public authorities.

The network convenes four times a year, either as in-person or remote meetings. The network brings together organisations and authorities interested in integration and reception operations and their development. Within the network, organisations and authorities share information on current phenomena. In addition, organisations share successful experiences and tools from their activities. The network connects diverse actors, provides knowledge that makes one's own work more impactful, and creates opportunities for cooperation and partnership. A working group supports the planning of the network's activities and the organisation of meetings.

The network is nationwide. Actors from the local, regional, and national level are welcome to join.

The next meeting will be held as an in-person meeting on Thursday, 21 May 2026 in Helsinki. The meeting will address themes of equality and inclusion, as well as related practical tools. In addition, current insights will be gathered from network members on the topics that are currently of most interest in the field of reception operations and integration support.
