Course introduction

Supporting Integration training covers refugee experience, integration and racism, and introduces volunteer activities that support integration. The training lasts approximately 3 hours. After the training, you can work as a volunteer supporting the integration of immigrants.

Target group

The training is aimed at those interested in volunteer tasks supporting integration.

Prerequisites

Please complete the Welcome to the Red Cross online orientation before the training.

Delivery methods

The training can be delivered as in-person or remote training; find upcoming training sessions in Oma Punainen Risti. The training can also be completed independently online (in Finnish and Swedish) – read more in Oma.

Trainer materials

The training materials are available in Finnish, Swedish and English. They are available to volunteer trainers in immigration work in the Material Bank (requires login).
