Would you be interested in volunteering as a helper at a sobering-up station?

On this page, you will find the implementation guidelines and monitoring form for the Finnish Red Cross sobering-up stations. The purpose of the implementation guidelines is to support branches in organizing sobering-up stations.

Most commonly, sobering-up stations are needed at large events, such as festivals, where the sobering-up station is part of the first aid service. Click here to order a sobering-up station.

Various sobering-up stations can also be organized in cooperation with authorities, for example, at youth gatherings. The guidelines can be adapted to suit one's own needs while preserving the sobering-up station's ideology of a holistic and respectful encounter.

The goal is to ensure that those sobering up are safe at the station physically, psychologically, and socially. We support those coming to the sobering-up station to take a small step in their lives towards better well-being.

The Finnish Red Cross's sobering-up station implementation guidelines and monitoring form have been approved by the Expert Group on First Aid and Health Education.

Slides to support training on organizing sobering-up stations, as well as other materials, will also be available later.
