Young Volunteer Recognition

Description

The recognition may be granted for significantly meritorious work or exceptionally remarkable actions to promote youth agency within the Red Cross or in accordance with Red Cross values. The recipient of the recognition has introduced new and bold ideas or practices that have developed the community's activities by inspiring new volunteers to join. The recipient of the recognition has served as an inspiring example to others, created an encouraging, positive, and safe atmosphere around them, and promoted the principles for safer spaces in their activities.

Granting criteria

The recognition may be granted if at least one of the following criteria is met:

• A member of the Finnish Red Cross under the age of 29 who has actively participated in FRC volunteer activities
• A board member or employee under the age of 29 of the Finnish Red Cross or other National Societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent
• Exceptionally, the recognition may also be granted to a person under the age of 29 outside the Red Cross Movement who has, through their actions, promoted youth agency within the Red Cross.

Application

The National Youth Committee may make a proposal for granting the recognition.
