Enabler of Youth Agency Recognition

Description

The recognition may be granted for significantly meritorious work or exceptionally remarkable actions that enhance youth agency within the Red Cross, taking into account the needs of young people and supporting their development into active participants within the organization. The recipient of the recognition has demonstrated an open mind and courage in strengthening youth agency, promoted the principles for safer spaces, and served with distinction as a supporter, advocate, and source of encouragement for young people in the Finnish Red Cross. The recipient has promoted cooperation between various groups, actors, or branches, and fostered a sense of community and belonging.

Granting Criteria

The recognition may be granted when at least one of the following criteria is met:

• A member of the Finnish Red Cross who has actively participated in FRC volunteer activities
• A trustee or staff member of the Finnish Red Cross
• A group, branch, district, or other community within the Finnish Red Cross
• A trustee or staff member of other National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
• Exceptionally, the recognition may also be granted to an individual or community outside the Red Cross Movement.

Application

The National Youth Committee may submit a proposal for granting the recognition.
