Network of young advocates

The Finnish Red Cross network of young advocates is a new forum for influencing, networking and learning to all members and volunteers under the age of 29 who are interested in developing or managing our activities. Being part of this network provides a new opportunity to influence the operations of the Red Cross with other young Red Cross operators!

This network will be open to all young elected officials and volunteers in charge in our organisation, as well as young people under 29 who are interested in these positions or in developing or managing our operations. The network will offer training and peer support, while also allowing the creation of new types of shared influencing methods for young people. The network members will be heard as the voices for youth in varied ways in our organisation’s development work.

The network operates nationwide on Discord, but it also has regional and thematic sub-communities. Although the network operates primarily online, it can also gather for live events. The Finnish Red Cross's national youth committee is responsible for the network's activities, and its activities are created and developed by the network's members.

You can join the network with your own volunteer profile in Oma Punainen Risti. Once you have joined the Oma group of the network of young advocates, you can find the link to the network's Discord servers in the Oma group messages.
