Challenge local businesses to join Hunger Day!

Workplace communities in local companies are an excellent target group for Hunger Day collectors. It is worth inviting companies well in advance, because the decision to participate involves several people and can take time.

Participation is easier for companies if the branch can deliver the collection equipment directly to the workplace, or if one company representative can pick up several collection boxes and vests at the same time. It is also worth offering companies boxes for the entire duration of the collection, from Thursday to Saturday.

Within companies, it is worth approaching HR specialists. Human resources specialists are responsible, for example, for the programme of the staff's occupational wellbeing day, and the Hunger Day collection is well suited for this. Companies appreciate easy and impactful ways to carry out their responsibility work, and taking part in Hunger Day with their staff is exactly that!

Companies can also donate money, products or services

Companies can also be asked to participate in Hunger Day by donating. A donation can be made directly to the Disaster Relief Fund using the branch's Hunger Day reference number.

It is also worth asking companies for product donations for bake sales, services pro bono, or, for example, free advertising space on digital screens. Materials for digital screens are available from the headquarters well in advance by request at keraykset@punainenristi.fi.

The headquarters also communicate with companies about Hunger Day

The headquarters challenge companies to join Hunger Day through regular newsletters, among other means. The challenges offer the opportunity to donate money or time by taking part in the collection. Employees interested in box collection are directed to look for the nearest branch's Hunger Day announcement on Oma.
