Ebola: Introduction (about 30 minutes)

This introductory session explains basic principles of Ebola disease and ways to protect yourself and others. By the end of this lecture, you should be able to: describe Ebola disease and how it is transmitted, recall basic measures to prevent Ebola disease and list key public health concerns during an Ebola outbreak.

ePROTECTEbola (90min-3h)

ePROTECTis an occupational health and safety briefing that covers the basic information you need to protect yourself when deploying to countries with Ebola disease. Those of you who will carry out specialized tasks, such as working in direct contact with sick people, will need more advanced-level training and coaching.

Ebola: Clinical management of Ebola virus disease (about 6 hours) – health staff and clinicians

This comprehensive intermediate level course is for clinicians caring for patients with suspected or confirmed Ebola virus disease (EVD). Modules provide information on screening and triage, infection prevention and control, laboratory diagnostics, organization of the Ebola Treatment Centre (ETC), clinical care of patients in the ETC, and investigational therapeutic agents.

These materials were developed in response to the 2018 Ebola outbreak in the Equateur Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and are currently under revision.
