Welcome to the Red Cross – Online Course
The Welcome to the Red Cross online course provides the basic information about how the Finnish Red Cross operates. Completing the course takes about 45 minutes, depending on your own pace. You will learn the fundamentals of the organization’s ways of working and get acquainted with the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross. The course also includes exercises designed to support learning. At the end, there is a test that helps you assess whether you have learned the key points of the course.
The course is intended for everyone interested in the activities of the Finnish Red Cross. Completing the course is the first step in the orientation of new volunteers, employees, or aid workers. It is recommended to take the course as soon as you are about to get involved in the organization’s activities.

If you want to become a Red Cross volunteer, you can take the course by creating a profile in Oma Punainen Risti. Once you have a profile and log in to Oma, you will find the course right on the homepage.
In Oma Punainen Risti, the course is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English.
