The Accident Prevention Network is responsible for planning and organizing the Accident Prevention Day and Stay Upright campaigns. The Finnish Red Cross coordinates the network and is responsible for implementation in cooperation with other network actors. Accident Prevention Day has been observed for over 25 years. Campaigns for accident prevention are held on every Friday the 13th.
In 2026, the Stay Upright campaign will be observed from 12–25 January, and Accident Prevention Day on Friday, 13 March.
The Finnish Red Cross is strongly involved in national safety campaigns. The goal of Accident Prevention Day is to encourage people to consider how to reduce the risk of accidents at home, at work, and in traffic.
